Hi My parents were Married at St Chrysostom's and I was Baptised there as were all our family. My aunts took Girl Guides there also for many years. I have a Girl Guides 21st Birthday photograph with lots of people on it. It was about 1948/9. In early 1966 when the Vicar Rev. P. Madoc Jones ( who Baptised me) retired it was decided to amalgamate St Chrysostom's with St. James' Church further up Bolton Road above Peel Park . The Church was demolished and the land was sold. It was apparantly not economical to keep both Churches going. Hope this helps Lynne
