Hello, I've been researching Jackson's and Ingham's who came from Wilsden. When I first started there were a few who lived or were born at Ling Bob, which I know is a pub (may have been a boarding/lodging house in the past). However I am starting to see a few census entries with Wilsden, Ling Bob as the place of birth. Now this might be a case of people being very specific about where they were born, but ity is unusual to see the actual address used as the place of birth on a census entry. So, to the question.... is it likely that there was an area in Wilsden which was rfeferred to as Ling Bob? While I'm in the asking mode, can anyone advise me of the address of the Ling Bob pub? Is it on Fir St? and what is the number? Finally, quite a few of this line were coal miners. Can someone advise where I can find etails about mines in this area? Many Thanks in advance ( if you need any research at the Powick/Worcester end of the world...just ask) Dave Dave Knowles Powick, Worcs, UK Researching : CLEAREY, HEBDEN, HUSTLER, INGHAM, JACKSON, KNOWLES, NORTHEN, WILKINSON
