    3. Dear Listers Has anyone done any research into the Gaunt family, or does the Gaunt family connect to anyone in the group. I am looking for information on the family of James Harrison Gaunt, a butcher, born in Pudsey around 1842. He married a Mary Pickles, born in Laisterdyke, Bradford also in 1842. They produce a daughter Lizzie Gaunt, circa 1873, whilst living at Birkenshaw. They then produce a daughter Mary Emma Gaunt, circa 1875, whilst living at Laisterdyke. They produce a son, also James Harrison Gaunt, on 5th December 1878, whilst living at Baildon, near Bradford. There may also be children John, Joseph and Florence. In 1901 James Harrison Gaunt, the father is a butcher living at 37 Robin Lane, Pudsey, whilst his wife and family are living at 355 Leeds Road, Nelson, Lancashire, and working in the cotton trade. The son, James Harrison Gaunt emigrated to America, sending for his fiance, Susan Wilson, a year later, marrying in Holyoke, Mass, and produce Nelson, Donald and a daughter. Donald Gaunt is my friend, 83 years old, and very interested in finding any of his English relations, so if anyone can help please contact me. John Calvert

    3. Hi John, There is a TETLEY connection through the marriage of Benjamin GAUNT to Ann TETLEY in 1811 at Calverley. Benjamin was a malster and farmer. Thereafter, the family used the variant GANT! One descendant, Tetley GANT, was President of Legislative Council in Australia from 1907 -> regards Richard John Calvert wrote: > Dear Listers > > Has anyone done any research into the Gaunt family, or does the Gaunt family connect to anyone in the group. -- Born in Sheffield, but currently in Nottingham UK.
