    1. [ BRAD] Address Book virus
    2. I've just been notified by one of my Bay Area friends that her address book was infected with a virus. It had a teddy bear log on it. As a result, yours may have been also because I have your address in mine.  The good news is that it is easy to get rid of.  The virus is called jdbgmgr.exe and it cannot be detected by Norton or McAfee anti-virus programs.  It sits quietly for about 14 days before damaging the system.  It is sent automatically by messenger and address book, whether or not you send e-mail.  Just follow these simple steps and you should have no problem: Yes, I found it on mine and deleted it.   1.  Go to "start" 2.  Go to "find" or "search" 3.  In "files/folders" write name jdbgmgr.exe 4.  Search in your "C" drive 5.  Click "find" or "search" 6.  The virus has a teddy bear logo with the name jdbgmgr.exe 7.  DO NOT OPEN! 8.  Right click and delete it. 9.  Go to the recycle bin and delete it there also. 10 If you find the virus, you must contact everyone in your address book also.   Sorry for the inconvenience.   Diane

    3. This, I understand, is a well known hoax. Check the listed site before deleting your file. http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/jdbgmgr.exe.file.hoax.html --- Diamasul@aol.com wrote: > I've just been notified by one of my Bay Area > friends that her address book > was infected with a virus.
