    3. Hi Colin If I remember correctly, Vicar Lane from Bridge Street to Leeds Road had the high blank wall of the old Exchange station on one side, and maybe old houses on the other side. Vicar Lane on the other side of Leeds Road, in Little Germany, has changed very little on the outside, the old warehouses being made into modern office suites. The new Law Courts are on the site of the old Exchange station. The new station and transport interchange are on the site of the old goods yard. During the late 50's a large amount of wool came through there, carried to the mills/warehouses on flat trucks pulled by Scammel three wheeled tractors.
