Hello One of my family mysteries may be solved at long last. . Dorothy Annie V MORTIMER and Reginald Andrea MORTIMER aged 4 would appear to be twins who were living with their step-mother Sarah Jane H. MORTIMER born PERKINS at 211 Prospect Place, Birkenshaw at the time of the 1901 census. Sarah was recorded as a widow . A marriage was found between a Sam Mortimer and Sarah Jane H. PERKINS in 1899. The twins born in Bradford in 1897 were I think the children of Sam and Annie MORTIMER . Annie died in 1897 according to family lore giving birth to twins.
