Hi all I'm hoping someone may have some info about some ancestors of mine--a Bartley Walsh who was born in Keighley c 1857. His father was a labourer called John Walsh about whom I have no other info. Bartley moved to Middlesbrough at some point and was marrie there in 1886.His father was dead at this point. His parents are listed as William BATTERS, Wheelwright and Ruth BATTERS formerly WALTON. I have found a marriage index info in the Sept Quarter, 1869 Bradford page 160, for a John BATTERS & Ruth WALTON, I have ordered the mc & will get it in a week or so. >From the 1881 census: 3 Nursery St, Huddersfield, York.
