Lori, I am sure there must be a connection with us. But I have only recently found the names Foster and Mitchell on my tree. My family, Earnshaw, came from Denholme. Two of my ancestors married into the Foster name and the son of one of them (Joseph Foster Earnshaw) married Emma Mitchell in 1879. Emma's address was Edge Bottom in Denholme, and she was born in Langfields. I know there is a large number of Foster's in the area and presumably an equal number of Mitchell's Over time, I want to expand my knowledge of this part of the family, as I don't understand why Joseph Foster Earnshaw moved from Denholme to Luddenden about the same time as my ggg grandfather did (he was JFE's great uncle) have a look at http://jearnshaw.me.uk and see if there is a name you can fit into your tree.
