My name is Margaret, Halifax born, but nowadays I divide my time between Switzerland, where I have time to do genealogy research, and London, where I don't (but where the information is more easily available), working on a birth brief for my American children. My Bradford link is is through Annie BREAR, who was deaf and dumb. She was born in 1849 in Belgrave Place, Manningham, the daughter of David and Mary (nee HAIGH) BREAR, who married in Bradford in 1841. I have found quite a lot of information about the family, but cannot trace David's birth, which was around 1818 in Bradford (information from 1851 census, and his death certificate). His father's name was Thomas, and there appear to have been some non-conformist links. When I am able, I plan to trawl the Bradford West 1841 census, but in the meantime, can anybody help please?
