I can recall the pub "The Red Gin" from my earlier years. It was in what was then called Bowling Old Lane, Bowling Lane in the 1800's, but I think the area has been vastly redeveloped and the location would be virtually unrecognisable. I do have an old Ordnance Survey map of the area of 1856 and can pick out to the best of my knowledge where the Red Gin would have been although it's not named on the map. Stewart
