HI-- My guess is that Harriot is just a bad transcription or misspelling of Hannah. I've found an amazing number of such errors in my own family searches, especially with first names. Just the other day I found a Senna who appeared elsewhere as a Sarah instance. Cheers! Frank MALLINSON, b.c1831 at Mirfield Yks. In 1871 census he is shown as head, with wife Hannah, b.c1833 at Cawthorne, Yks. In 1881 census he is shown as head, with wife Harriot b.c1836 at Flockton, Yks. In 1891 census he is shown as head with Hannah as his wife again (same Hannah as above as details are the same) 1901 census still with Hannah. I cannot figure out why a different wife would appear in the middle of these census's - anyone got any clues? Many thanks in advance. Jan in New Zealand
