Here is the 1841 census entry - indexed as HESLEYTON on Ancestry HO107/1297/2 F51 P25 Whetley Field, Manningham, Bradford, Yorkshire William Heslington, 35, "Ind", Y Elizabeth do, 15, Worsted Shift Weaver, Y Mary do, 13, Worsted Bobbin Winder, Y Jack -----Original Message----- From: Helena Tetley [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: 05 July 2006 00:11 To: [email protected] Subject: [ BRAD] Census Look up - Willliam Heslington Would SKS please look in the 1841 and 1851 Censuses for William Heslington who on 1839 was "occupier of Whetley Fold, Manningham". The Whetley may not be right as it is from a death certificate of Mary Tetley to which death he was the informant. It is hard to read. I would like to know any information given on the censuses. He signed by his mark X so I imagine he did not own the land. Mary left a baby who according to the 1861 census was born in Heaton in 1837 and brought up by his uncle William Tetley in Heaton. Here Canada Day is over and half the city is celebrating the Italian win of the soccer. Street parties every where.
