Hi Norman There are five John Petherbridges listed in Devon of around the right age:- John Petherbridge abt 1826 Devon, England Ashburton Devon John Petherbridge abt 1811 Devon, England Buckfastleigh Devon John Petherbridge abt 1816 Devon, England Buckfastleigh Devon John Petherbridge abt 1826 Devon, England Dunsford Devon John Petherbridge abt 1828 Devon, England Heavitree Devon Two of them are wool combers, so I'll send the images of those two off list, so that you can see what you make of them (some of the other family names may tie in with what you already know).
