Looking for any evidence/record of the parentage of Hannah CARR, my gg-grandmother who died 28-Feb-1880 in Grove, Shelf (Halifax) and is buried in Wade House Chapel, Shelf. She married James BOTTOMLEY on 21-Dec-1818 Bradford, with her named as Sarah CARR. The censuses record Hannah CARR being born in Bowling in approx 1801. The couple lived on the Shelf / N Bierley border; they had at least eight if not nine children. Analysis of the IGI shows she might have been a daughter of John CARR & Martha WILSON or of Joseph CARR & Betty FEARNSIDE. Can anyone confirm or repudiate this? Howard Geddes
