    3. Hi Barry, You could try looking on http://www.old-maps.co.uk/ a few road names are marked, you might be lucky. The other option is looking on the 1901 census for the Shipley, if you have an Ancestry subscription you can look at the descriptions of the enumeration districts, when you find the one(s) with Regent St and New York you can get an idea of where they were from the other roads mentioned. I've had a quick look and there are over 20 districts that you would have to check out. Or you could go on the http://www.1901census.nationalarchives.gov.uk/ site and check by address (don't think this can be done on Ancestry) and then armed with the district number go back to Ancestry and read the details of the roads covered. I have an A-Z bought about 25 years ago of the area and they are not in that. Hope this helps (and makes sense) Debbie ----- Original Message ----- From: "Charles Greenhough" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, September 27, 2006 11:44 AM Subject: Re: [ENG-YKS-BRADFORD] Searching for a road in old Shipley > Barry > > I confirm the street names you name do not show in the index of the > current > Philip's street map. > During the 1960's when the current market place was created a lot of > terrace housing was demolished to create a car park immediately to the SE > of > the current market square.
