Roy, I too saw the entry from 1851 census which states Michael was 5 born in Ireland giving possible birth in 1845/6.I even have the image from the census as well as the BFHS index. It does not seem to fit later census info i.e in 1881 Michael states born Bradford aged 38. I have marriage and death dates as well as census that point to 1842/3. It seems very, very unlikey that Hanorah went back to Ireland at all as they were very poor indeed, and I think unwell. The enumerator did put 'do' very readily I think. I know that most of the 7 children died quite young. In fact James only lived 5 days and Abina a year. I believe Abina was the Irish name for Agnes or Abigail. and note with interest that one of the lodgers in 1851 was called Abigail Leary. In 1841 the enumerator was a little more accurate. He had Denis Creadon 35 ag lab b Ireland as were Anorah wife 30 and daughters Mary 8 and Cathron 5. The next daughter was Hannah born Yorks.11months. I know this to be Ann born July 1840 and baptised in St Mary's Stott Hill. You found her death which I had not looked for recently. Thank you. As I have failed to find anything more at all about Dennis 1842 no Census, marriage or death) I have slowly come round to the idea he may have become Michael Dennis some time after his first week of life. Maybe I can never prove it . I keep it as a possibility. Just wondered if others had found anything similar. Thanks for checking up on the family, you have found as I did there do not seem to be other Creadon/Creedons about to get mixed up with. Tantalising ! I will certainly keep an open mind on this one. I hope marriage and death certificates giving ages are a little more likey than enumerator at census who could have the info from any vague family member .Perhaps they were not able to calculate or write ! Whatever year he was born Michael was very much alive , had 13 children 10 of them lived to adulthood. Many more Creedons all over the world now. Valerie
