I am new to this board and I am researching Farrar ancestors. I am looking for the family of Harry Farrar, born about March 1871 in Bradford, Yorkshire. Harry was married to Pheobe Todd and he came to the US 3 times to visit a 2nd Cousin William A. Farrar. The first time in 1904 and his occupation was tripe dresser which is the same as in the 1901 UK census. He came in 1907 and in 1913 and the last visit he was listed as an oil merchant and his residence in all visits is Hebden Bridge. On the 1913 Ship manifest it lists his wife at Regent House. Harry’s mother was Grace Farrar, born ABT 1831 to John Farrar born ABT 1792 and Jane ? Born ABT 1795. I have a feeling John and William’s father William E. might have been brothers. John his wife Jane and their children Jane, Hanna E. Grace and Elizabeth all were born in Yorkshire. If anyone has information or connections to this Farrar family I would enjoy hearing from you.
