Norman Perhaps our families were near neighbours. What name were you looking for? Finding the first members of my CREEDON family who came from Ireland before 1840 made me investigate living conditions. Horrific, I wondered how any of the babies survived at all. I have some notes on the cramped unhealthy state of the area and can transcribe some relevant parts if anyone is interested. There was a lot more in York library where I went and of course a great deal in Bradford archives at the Library. 5 of 8 children in my family died young ,as was common. ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to ENG-YKS-BRADFORD-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message
Valerie Please would it be possible for you to add me to your list for copies of information on living conditions on Bradford East - my DRAKE family lived in that area.
