    1. Re: [YKS-BRADFORD] Swaine's in Horton..
    2. ..Went back and took a look at the Rambling Round Horton book and see that they tell all about the early Swaines who helped settle Horton..but when they get to the bunch that lived in Little Horton..they sort of say they do not have much about them..and of course they are the ones that I am looking for..Am thinking that my Thomas Swaine worked at the inn for his g.uncle and then when he died the wife ran it with her daughter..but then she died and maybe Thomas inherited it then..Thomas with his wife Maria Hudson ran it till his death in 1855 and then she did till she died in 1902..His father was Richard Swaine wife Ruth ..and his father was JohnSwaine wife Lydia Hillam..and his father James Swaine??..but still cannot pin them all down for sure.. The Holdsworth,Jowlett,Booth,Ramsden,Priestley all lived in the Gr.Horton area and at one time or other married into the Swaine line..They all have an interesting history and am so glad that there was a book written about the Horton area or I would be even more confused than I am. Thanks all..C.Olsen in Alaska. ************************************** See what's new at http://www.aol.com
