Hi The only WHYTE in September ¼ 1856 is an Owen registered in Samford and the only WHYTE's registered in December ¼ 1856 are Charles in Hackney and Samuel in Islington. Are you certain of the year? Don't mean to be picky but how have you got the date of his death if you don't have the certificate? Do you have anything else which may help to find his place of death? Also there is a William Whyte recorded in the Sept quarter in 1865 - did you perhaps get the last 2 numbers of the year the wrong way around? I frequently do things like that but I blame it on being an OAP!
