    3. Hello Listers I am researching Charles Henry Ford who was a valet in Ferniehurst, Baildon when he married in 1912. Is there any way I can find where he may have been working at this time? I've checked out the Baildon website at http://www.baildon.org.uk/ and Googled Ferniehurst and there are obviously a few 'big' houses, but they seemed to have been 'active' prior to the 1900s. CHF was not in the area in the 1901 census. Is there a 1911 census record available for the area where he may turn up? [He then enlisted in the army and died in WWI] Any other suggestions gratefully received. All the best Caroline Northern NSW

    3. Caroline, The only way I know of to get the 1911 Census is to, apply in writing, however you do need the address for them to even bother to go looking. (look at Yorkshire or Yorksgen archives - big discussion early last year [2007]). Sorry i can't remember which list the discussion was on.
