    1. [YKS-BRADFORD] Alhambra Hotel
    2. Greetings Listers A Happy New Year to all. Several months ago there was dialogue on the above establishment, which petered out, parially because mention of the Alhambra Theatre cropped up, and, while being interesting, was totally irrelevant to the original issue. It appeared to be quite mysterious and to add to the mystery, there was no mention of this 'hotel' in the excellent book "The Public House in Bradford, 1770-1970", by Paul Jennings, a copy of which I possess. While doing research on another topic, I was studying the 1881 Census for England > Yorkshire > Horton in Bradford > District 47, page 21. At 25 Hope Street, the Alhambra Hotel! The occupants were: Samuel Winpenny, married, age 37, beer seller, b. Bradford; his wife Jane Winpenny, also 37 and a beer seller, b. Bradford; Nathaniel Winpenny, brother, age 29, a stuff warp dresser. I hope that this information will be of use to anybody who might find it interesting. Kindest regards Keith
