    1. [YKS-BRADFORD] Help request re: book with old photo of Wardle's Tinsmith Business in Bradford
    2. Sharon Harrington
    3. I live in the United States and do not have easy access to the Bradford Archives. . Roy Stockdill's message to Valerie about old photos of Bradford prompted me to send the following message to the list. In the 1960's-1970's, a relative from Yorkshire, visiting my WARDLE grandparents in Philadelphia, PA, brought them a book from England that I believed showed pictures of "old Yorkshire" or "old Bradford." The book disappeared after the deaths of my grandparents. In the book, was a black and white photo of a business storefront with the name of "WARDLE" on the window. I believe the photo is probably from the late 1800's or very early 1900's. The business was for that a tinsmith or something similar and there were a number of metal pots in the window of the store. (I seem to recall a large cauldron type pot in the center of the window.) Many of my grandfather's WARDLE ancestors were tinners, tin smiths, and sheet metal workers by trade. Some owned their own business in Horton, Great Horton, and/or Bradford. I was wondering if anyone might have a book with such a photograph in it? If so, I would love to have a copy of the photo and/or also know the title and publishing information of the book so that I might obtain a copy of the book. Thank you in advance for any help given.
