Hi All He could actually be a diver i.e. entertainer. During my research of the Beaumont's, I came across a Beaumont diver at Llandudno(about 1890's/1900's born Blackpool), who use to dive from pier to entertain the crowds. On one occasion he dived from the pier to rescue someone in trouble in the water. There is a plaque on the pier to commemorate this occasion Regards Lenny
