Hi Valerie I am not aware of any M.I.s of the McEvoy or Creedons .From memory I believe my grandparents-Denis and Harriet McEvoy were buried in Bowling Cemetery. Why there and not the much closer Undercliffe I'll never know.I do not have any photos at all but St Marys was anything but beautiful to look at -its exterior did belie the interior. It was an exceptionally big church and probably the largest in the Diocese, including St Annes in Leeds. I was not aware of William's military career but was this the Wm. born in1853 ? You may know that St Marys school was split in two parts-the Infants and Girls up to age 15 was off Stott Hill and the Boys Junior and Seniors in Jermyn St next to the church -apart half a mile away.Incidentally I think you may know that Daniel's first wife was a Mary Bergan who were married on 15-6-1850. Dennis, Yes William CREEDON b Bradford 1853 brother of Mary and Michael Creedon as in Northumberland Barracks in the 1871 census. In the military deaths Army, I found a William Creedon died in Burma 1882. There is an age discrepancy with this entry so I cannot be sure he is 'ours' but I've not found any other death. Mary, Michael and William were the 3 who survived childhood of 7. I have details on the others if you are interested. Quite a sad time for the family. Did I ever tell you I finally found Michael's birth? At one week he was registered Dennis CREEDON and at 2 weeks he was baptised Mich Dennis. He only ever appeared as Michael in the census. He did use both names on a couple of daughters' marriage certificates. In April 1869 the entry above Michael's son William's death aged 1,record was for a McEvoy. It looks like Elizabeth aged 41 of Barker (Road?) Do you know anything about her? These burials were recorded in St Mary's records. Just thought you might be interested. Thanks for the school info. I know nothing about it. Valerie
