Hello Maureen, I have a family called Farrar rather than Farrer attached to my tree, on census records I sometimes found these 2 spellings for the same family. A Squire Farrar born circa 1838 married my 2nd great GrandAunt Emma Holdsworth in 1861 - the marriage was recorded in Halifax. This couple had 5 children all born in Brighouse. I have not as yet followed this branch any further.
