    1. Michael BELL 1851 Bradford
    2. Norman Gallop
    3. I think this extracted Michael BELL might be yet another of Lazarus BELL's boys coming to Bradford. Unfortunately Michael's wedding looks like it might be in 1836 just before registration began so even if I knew where and when the marriage was it would not get me Michael's father's name. A baptism record exists in Muker for a son of Lazarus called Michael of just this age - but is this him? Please let me have any ideas on this matter. Lazarus's boys Ralph, George and Barnabas all ended up in Bradford so maybe Lazarus himself did? (There is in fact another boy Charles to account for and let's not forget Esther, Ann, Margaret, Elizabeth and Mary and all the horses.) 1. RE: [ BRAD] 1841 census help please BROGDEN
    2. Stephen Smith
    3. Hello, I spotted the interest in the BROGDEN name. I don't know if it is a unusual name, but I don't recall it cropping up before. But it rang a bell with some of my previous research. I have the LW&T of one of my ancestors, William SKIRROW, of Dubb, Bingley, who died about Dec 1901. His Will was witnessed by both John BROGDEN and John BROGDEN Junior. I have no other reference to these names - it may be that they were simply Solicitors, or there in some legal capacity, as opposed to being family friends. But I've often wondered. My John "Thomas" Brogden lived in Denholme, a part of Bradford. The family ended up in Wakefield.
