Hi Colin, I'm assuming the original children were all boys and their descendants too. If not check out the Worcestershire Marriage Index. It's searchable by bride as well as groom. The National Burial Index 2 may also tie up the odd loose end. Add to that various wars, emigration and being locked up and you have a problem. I think birth records, unless added to the baptism, by a forward thinking vicar, will be few and far between. The only independent one I know of is a doctor's record of births for Redditch, about 1795 - 1826. [Redditch Library] You could try tackling things backwards by looking for a will or administration and hoping for a list of beneficiaries. Also, check if a canal was nearby. Some people used the canal as a highway and then got married in a church nearby.. Another thought - check out drovers routes to markets. A lot can happen over 80 years. There was a general migration into Birmingham so bear that in mind too; as well as to Redditch for the needle industries. This is likely to be a very slow process. So I would make sure you surname interests, with other details, are well publicised on the various surname interest lists, and see if anyone makes the connection from another direction.
