Hello Lyn, Wychbold was a part of Dodderhill Parish - one of the WOR Parishes that had no centre, and was composed of a number of scattered settlements - and although having become an Ecclesiastical Parish in 18xx is still, civilly, a part of Dodderhill. In the 1851 Census it was in Piece 2046, folios 416-492 (which included some other Odd Bits, but covered the whole Parish). In 1861, 2112; 75-82 (Wychbold only) In 1871, 3070; 52-87 (whole parish) HTH Gus ----- Original Message ----- From: lynn paterson <lynnpaterson6@hotmail.com> To: <ENG-WORCESTER-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, July 30, 2005 4:03 PM Subject: [WOR] wychbold? where do I look re: 1851 census > Hi there, > Could anyone please help me find where Wychbold is on the 1851 census as > mine isn't indexed. > To be honest I have looked on the 1861 and 1851 census and still couldn't > find him or Wychbold, > so where am I going wrong. > Does Wychbold go by another name?. > > I am looking for one of my Great Grandfathers who states on two census > returns: > > THOMAS DAVIS b.abt 1844/1845 Wychbold, Worcestershire. > > I have him located in 1891/1901 in Aston. > In 1871 I assumed he would be with his wife Emma by then as my great > grandmother Emma Jane Davis was b.1871 Warwickshire, but I can find none of > them in Birmingham. > > Any assistance would be much appreciated as I am having a family reunion > next week with my nan's previously lost brothers and sisters. > > All the best > Lynn Paterson > researching WYER, CLARK, SHUTT, DAVIS X2, BRIGHT, HAWKER, MOUND in > Shropshire and Worcestershire. > > > > ==== ENG-WORCESTER Mailing List ==== > Transcribers wanted for Worcestershire FreeREG > for more information see http://freereg.rootsweb.com > UK Census on-line > http://freecen.rootsweb.com/ > http://www.worcestershiresurnames.co.uk/ > >
