I trust that I have replied individually but just in case - thanks to all I have learnt a lot - I have had some things confirmed - I have been pointed to other sources - and I have been pleasantly surprised as some new avenues for research have opened up as I now know that one set of my maternal great-great-grandparents, well at least the husband, came from Devon!
