Hmmm, seems to be a bit of a puzzler then. I can't imagine what an army officer, and his family would have been doing in a city where there was no military presence, as there was in every other place he was at where the other three children born. To my knowledge there were no family ties in Worcester, but it does bear investigating further. I have yet to find out where these Middletons did come from.
