I truly am enjoying the lastest hot topic on the Worcester list. My gran lived on York Rd. in Brittania Square and it's bringing back such fond memories. I also am researching the surname WILKSand am wondering if anyone would have any information in regards to my line I have little information derived from long order birth certificates, but here it is.... My Gr-Gr-Gr-Grandmother was Ann WILKS, born circa 1809 in Throckmorton, Pershore, she died in Holy Cross, Pershore. She married THOMAS HOWSE, born circa 1805, he also died in Holy Cross Pershore. I have no dates of marriage, death or actual birth dates. I do have the following children who were a result of their marriage, EMMA b. April 12, 1842, JOHN b. circa 1836, JOSEPH b. circa 1839, MARY b. circa 1846, all the children were born in Holy Cross, Pershore. Any additions to my geneological notes would be greatly appreciated. Also, another question is, my Grandmother, HILDA GERTRUDE PARKES, remarried in the 1950's to HARRY GOULD, and we have never found a date of marriage. My mother believes it was in the later 1950's.
