    1. Name of Cemetery in Worcester

    3. A diary of an ancestor describes taking an afternoon walk in 1864 and firstly, visiting the Worcester Water Works then on to visit an Uncle's grave at the new cemetery. Bearing in mind that 10 miles was considered an afternoon stroll in those days, and that the ancestors concerned were staunch Wesleyans, which cemetery would be the "new cemetery" back then? 3. Hello again Roger, First off - I think you should look at your e-mailing set-up, as every message you send comes with a request to download a 12-minute translation package..... But as for your question, the Cemetery would be the City Council's Cemetery in Astwood Road, which opened in 1858. It's about 1Ľ milesEast of where the Water Works then was.
