Hi Susan Back again hopefully with some useful information for you regarding possible parish churches for Albany Terrace in 1844. Looking on multimap Albany Terrace is about 1 mile to the north-west of the cathedral. These are the parishes of Worcester city (from Genuki) All Saints a.. Cathedral a.. St Alban a.. St Andrew a.. St Clement a.. St Helen a.. St John Bedwardine a.. St Martin a.. St Michael a.. St Nicholas a.. St Oswald's Hospital a.. St Peter the Great a.. St Swithin This link : http://freespace.virgin.net/david.beacham/wbells.index.html has a map which shows the parish churches of Worcester on a map of 1651 and I would suggest from this that the most likely parish church for his baptism would be St Alban's. However it could also have been St Andrew's, St Michaels or even the Cathedral itself. I hope this gives you something to go on best wishes Liz ----- Original Message ----- From: "trevor hackett" <trevor.hackett@ntlworld.com> To: <ENG-WORCESTER-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, May 10, 2005 6:40 PM Subject: [WOR] Baptism - Easter Sunday 1844 > My gt grandfather - John HOLDEN was born 1st February 1844 in Albany Terrace, Worcester and in a book he wrote he stated that he was baptised on the Easter Sunday of that year. > > Could sks please tell me where I would find a calendar that would give me the date of Easter Sunday in 1844 and also what possible parishes would he have been baptised in? > > Many thanks, > Susan > > > > > Susan Hackett > > > ==== ENG-WORCESTER Mailing List ==== > FreeREG Project: parish register database > http://freereg.rootsweb.com > > UK Census on-line > http://freecen.rootsweb.com/ > http://www.worcestershiresurnames.co.uk/ > >
