Even though Holy Trinity [The] Lickey Church is in Worcestershire the registers, for some reason, have been deposited at Birmingham Library. (6th floor) Worcester FHC certainly have not got copies. I'm fairly sure the registers have not been filmed too. HTH Colin, researching all Bromsgrove born CRAWFORDs > The parish of [The] Lickey was solely Ecclesiastical. Hello Colin, The Lickey was transferred to Birmingham Diocese in 1905, so it seems not altogether unreasonable for Bham Central Library to hold its registers. Records Offices are (broadly) set up to deal with matters pertaining to the Civil Administration Units within the boundaries of their Civil Authorities - but The Lickey's Registers are Ecclesiastical. There's bound to be Border Conflicts in any case - the Simple Answer would really be for both to hold copies - but that's a Practical Solution, and bureaucracies don't hold with such things :-) Gus ----- Original Message ----- From: Colin Wood <ColinWood@bromsgrove30.fsnet.co.uk> To: <> Sent: Saturday, May 21, 2005 8:18 AM Subject: Re: [WOR] WILKES - Lickey End/Catshill/Staple Hill/Bromsgrove > Even though Holy Trinity [The] Lickey Church is in Worcestershire the > registers, for some reason, have been deposited at Birmingham Library.
