Some of the 1851 Census is on line at Ancestry.co.uk. It doesn't show up in the list of databases, but if you do a search on an individual or family name covering that period it should show up in the results page. Its not the full census, just a sample, so I can find some of my family on it but not others. The description tells you how big a sample it is by county.
