    3. Hi Diana, I found 2 JAMES TAYLOR gardeners on the 1841 census aged 40-60, thus: County WORCESTERSHIRE Superintendent Registrar's District UPTON UPON SEVERN Registrar's District KEMPSEY Enumeration District No 4 Parish KEMPSEY Place GREENS Household Number 1857 JAMES TAYLOR 45 Gardener (All born in County) JANE TAYLOR 45 MARY TAYLOR 15 HANNAH TAYLOR 8 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- County WORCESTERSHIRE Superintendent Registrar's District PERSHORE Registrar's District UPTON SNODSBURY Enumeration District No 5 Parish SPETCHLEY Place GARDEN COTTAGE Household Number 7 JAMES TAYLOR 45 Gardener (All born in County) SUSANAH TAYLOR 40 JOSEPH TAYLOR 15 MARY TAYLOR 15 AGNES TAYLOR 14 BARBARA TAYLOR 11 GEORGE TAYLOR 6 FRANCIS TAYLOR 4 AUGUSTIN TAYLOR 1 Previous household ELIZABETH TAYLOR 15 Female Servant (Y) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I saw on the 1861 census that MIRIAM U. TAYLOR b.Tamworth Staffordshire was a widower living at Birmimgham all saints and that her eldest child JAMES was born in Warwickshire, however I could not find a JAMES TAYLOR gardener in Warwickshire. Trouble is looking on the 1841 census THOMAS TAYLOR may well have been away from home at that time. What you need really is to find him in Warwickshire on the 1851 census but unfortunately this is the only one I haven't got, the Warwickshire family history site I'm sure does free look-ups. All the best Lynn Paterson researching WYER/WYRE/WIRE Worc. Shrop. Warks. Heref.

    3. Hi Diana, Sorry I didn't see your original posting but I have been away for a few weeks and am just catching up on messages so am not sure who you are looking for. The first James Taylor on Lynn's e.mail is an ancestor of mine so if I can help further please let me know. James was born 1793 in Kempsey, Worcs and his wife was Jane Langford. James' father was Thomas Taylor and his mother was Mary although I don't have her last name.
