    3. John: You won't find a death certificate for a death in 1822 as deaths weren't registered until 1837. What you will find is a burial record in a parish register. This will contain name, age at death and address, all of which are useful, although the address may be very general (eg just "Bromsgrove"). It also, of course, tells you which parish church he used, which will give pointers to records for other family members.
