    3. In two days at the Worcester History Centre reading I confirmed by ancestry back to Anthony ASHFIELD, described in the PRs as both an Attorney at Law and a “gent”, who died in Pershore in 1729. One of the last things I found for him was in a book of transcriptions of wills for Pershore – a reference to a memorial to him in Pershore Abbey. I didn’t pursue this at the time as I have a ‘fiche of MIs for Wick and Pershore. However, there are no ASHFIELD references on my ‘fiche. Does anyone have any info about this memorial? It could be a clue as to Anthony’s parents - his baptism isn't on the IGI or VRI. I didn’t record the date of the transcriptions book, – does anyone know whether it is likely the memorial has been destroyed/become illegible since the transcriptions were made? Many thanks Susie
