    3. Hi Linda Thanks for the information, sounds like an interesting book. The two Josiah GREENs probably belong to my family, Benjamin had a brother and a nephew named Josiah who would have been about the right ages. Maybe I shall find connections to some of the others. Another thing which may be in a local book is the comment about Sarah GREEN nee MILWARD found in a family tree of the descendants of William CASTLEDOWNE of Halesowen (Sarah's mother was Alice CASTLEDOWNE). It says: Sarah bap.1697 mar.1719 St Philip's Birmingham; artist; bur.1788 "oldest inhabitant". I have read the Halesowen PR for the burial, it says Mrs Sarah GREEN, widow, buried 9 Jan 1788. I should love to know where the "oldest inhabitant" bit comes from. I don't know where the CASTLEDOWNE tree came from, it is a photocopy with no reference to the publication. It may be from the book by Johnson Ball on William CASLON the Typefounder, another member of this family and Sarah MILWARD's first cousin. Best wishes from Diana >Hi Paul and Diane, from Halas Halas Halesowen, written by F. & K.M. Somers;
