Earl, I can't find a John Gibbons with wife Ann in 1851 Worcestershire Census but there is a John (married) with children but no wife at home. John born Stroud, Glos, age 40, shoe maker. Children John 11, William 10, Elizabeth 6, Jane 2. They are in Fish Street Worcester. If this sounds like yours please let me know and I'll send all the details. I don't think you would need Ann's surname for the marriage certificate if you have the husband's name and the GRO ref. You could put the name Ann but of course if it's the wrong John Gibbons you run the same risk we all do! Vivien
