Can anyone tell me when someone dies in a workhouse will the death certificate give any clue as to their previous address. Margaret

I had one person die in the work house in Wincanton, SOM. The cert stated that he was a "glover of Milborne Port", which was the town he lived in previously... no other info, tho. Mary SHEPHERD, who I believe was my g.g.grandmother, died in Upton-on-Severn Workhouse on 4 March 1867 at the age of 81 years. The certificate states that her occupation was a labourer and that she died of natural decay, but gives no indication of her previous address. According to the 1861 Census she was a resident of Longdon. I have been informed that the Workhouse records for this period were destroyed sometime during the 1920s.
