Helena, I have Bladons in my family tree but that was what they were named as back in the late 1700's in Elmley Castle, Worcestershire. Later the name is shown as Playdon and variants. The ones that I have are John, Sarah, Thomas William and the last child Richard (shown as Pleddon) all christened between 1769 & 1776 at Elmley Castle. I doubt that these are of any use to you but it may give you further thought. Happy hunting, Noreen I am hoping someone can solve this puzzle for me. > > I have come accross an EMMA BLADON born at Kidderminster around 1845. On > the 1881 census she is staying with one of 'my' Bladon's (Margaret > Theodora daughter of William) at Oxon Cheshire and is described as Cousin. > Emma's son is listed as nephew. I sent for Emmas marriage certificate and > she married Joseph WORRALL in 1874 at Plemstall Cheshire giving her father > as Thomas Bladon.
