Hello I would like to send a big thank you to everyone who responded to my query, especially, Lynn, Gus, Mike and Joyce. Gus has found Selina's baptism in Lower Mitton in Oct 1850 so it looks as though her birth wasn't registered. Lynn found one of her older brothers in the 1871 census which has meant I have been able to find the same family in the 1861, they had moved to Staffs, which lucky for me has been transcribed now on 1837online.com They had further children in Walsall and one of them was registered which is all I need to check the mother's maiden name. So I have sent for the certificate, and I will soon know!! Thank you to everyone. Best wishes Ally

For instance, my grandmother was born in London, but christened in Dudley. Rob Tomlinson Looking for Deeley in Dudley -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Anti-Virus.
