    3. Hello I wonder if anyone has any ideas on finding the birth registration for Selina CLARK born 1850 in Lower Mitton. I have her family at 45 Foundry Street in 1851. Selina is 7 months and her sister Ann is 2 both born at Lower Mitton 'according' to the census. As CLARK is a common name I thought I would look for Selina's birth rather than Ann's but can find neither. I have sent for a Selina CLARK born at Clifton, Bristol (just in case!) but it is definitely not the one. Plus a birth cert for a Selina BISHOP (working on another theory!!) in Worcester, that one also definitely not right. There doesn't appear to be any others within a few years. The parents, William and Ann have 3 older children all born Lower Mitton too, Edward CLARK b. 1840, Thomas born 1842, and William born 1844, and I can't find anything definite for those. Maybe they weren't registered. Does anyone have access to the Lower Mitton (Stourport) registers who could see if Selina or Ann are registered. I wondered if (with the 5 year age gap between William b.1844 and Ann b. 1849) that the father William had taken up with my Ann BISHOP and had the last 2 children. So they could be possibly under the surname CLARK or BISHOP. (Ann BISHOP's son William is staying with them at Foundry Street on the census as 'Nephew') Any help or ideas very gratefully received. Regards Ally

    3. Hi Ally, if you go to Free BMD registrations, instead of going to search, click on view images, next to it,then follow through,it is a slow process as you have to guess the pages and keep eliminateing untill you have the name you want, but you can then see the whole records up untill about 1910,so enables you to see what is not transcribed,I view through PDF files(adobe acrobat,)then click open twice,I found Clarks in 1850 around the 6 to 700 mark. kind regards Joyce ----- Original Message ----- From: "ally kingman" <ally.kingman@ntlworld.com> To: <ENG-WORCESTER-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, June 03, 2005 8:35 AM Subject: [WOR] Selina CLARK born 1850 Lower Mitton > Hello > > I wonder if anyone has any ideas on finding the birth registration for Selina CLARK born 1850 in Lower Mitton. > > I have her family at 45 Foundry Street in 1851.
