Hello Eric, *IF* the entry on the IGI shows "JOHN OSBORNE, born abt 1758, WOR, Bolton" then it is almost certainly a Patron Submission - and in all probability an estimate or even blind guess by the person submitting it. I'm unaware of a 'Bolton' anywhere in WOR - at least there's not been a parish with that name. Possible mishearings of WOR Places could include: Baughton Boughton Broughton (Hackett) Bayton Himbleton but these can be no more than guesses, too...
