Hi Listers Many thanks to those who looked up the 1851 census for Charles William Morris & Michael Joseph Morris. A negative result is still informative, as I now know where they were not! However, they may well have been scholars in 1851 (aged 13 & 14) . They were not convicted until 1859 & by 1861 were probably in a prison hulk awaiting transportation - in 1862. On arrival in Australia they were described as boatman & waterman - so they may have come from families involved in river or canal work. Thanks again Ruth
