Dear Listers Many thanks to all of you who have kindly answered my queries about Charles William & Michael Joseph MORRIS, who were convicted in 1859 at Worcester & transported in 1862. I have been told that there is on the 1871 census for Martley Workhouse an Eliza MORRIS b Kidderminster aged 35, with a Henry Morris aged 12 b Brockeridge (1858-9) - both inmates. These could very easily be the wife and child of Charles or Michael MORRIS. Both were said to be married with a child when they arrived in Australia, although they were young 24 & 25. Quite possibly both wives & young children were left destitute. Please could someone check the index for the whereabouts of Eliza & her toddler Henry in the 1861 Worcestershire census? I would be very grateful. Many thanks again, Ruth Hayward
