Hi Everyone I have within a family I am researching for a friend a couple George and Mary Plant.In 1851,1861 and 1871 they both give their place of birth as Wenlock.In 1881 George gives his place of birth as New Works and Mary gives Small Hill.In 1891 they both say Wellington and then finally in 1901 Mary now widowed gives New Works as her place of birth. Would the New Works and Small Hill given in 1881 possibly give a more accurate idea of where they were both born.I understand New Works is associated with mining.George was a Iron Miner and then later a Coal Miner so may of come from a mining family.I have not found their marriage yet,if I knew exactly where they were from it may give a clue to where the marriage took place.They were both born about 1826. regards Mike Roberts
