    3. Stourbridge was a part of the Church of England Parish of Old Swinford - but there were a fair number of Non-Conformist chapels in the area where Adelaide might have been baptised. OTOH, *IF* her parents married in WOR, then it will be included in the WOR Marriages Index. HTH Gus ----- Original Message ----- From: "johnlake" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, September 26, 2007 7:59 PM Subject: [WOR] ADELAIDE SARAH HERIOT FIGES I am really struggling to find out details of ADELAIDE SARAH HERIOT FIGES who was born in STOURBRIDGE around 1832. Her father's name was Francis Figes. I do not know which church they went to and so am unable to locate their records. Thanks to ANYONE who can help me... ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to [email protected] with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message

    3. Hi Gus, Is the WOR Marriages Index something that can be accessed online, or could I buy a CD ROM of it? Does it cover dates after 1837? I am still trying to find a marriage for my great grandparents Henry WILLIAMS and Mary WILDING (aka PLAYDON) sometime after 1855 (when Henry's first wife died). Despite scouring the BMD index for all possible variations of Mary's name(s) I have drawn a blank. It is possible they never married, but if they did it could have been anywhere from Claines to the Blockhouse area as they moved around.
